How do we get started?
The first step is the Phone Assessment, which is free of charge and takes about 15-20 minutes. During this call, I’ll ask targeted questions about your situation and what led you to contact an organizer. Give some thought to answering questions about your challenges with organization, any applicable psychological diagnoses that might impact getting organized (ADHD, OCD, etc.), and what areas of your home need the most help.

The On-Site Consultation is the next step in the process. This Consultation takes between 45-60 minutes and costs $35. During this time, we’ll go into deeper detail on the organizational challenges in your home or office. What spaces in your home create the most stress for you? What’s working, and what’s not working? In an ideal world, how would this room/area look? Once we’ve completed the consultation, we’ll move forward with setting an appointment for the first work session. Work sessions generally are 3-4 hours each, and the $35 consultation fee will be applied to your first work session. Learn more details on the work sessions by visiting our Services page.

When do I need to pay you? And how?
Clutterninja accepts payment at the conclusion of each consultation and session, either by cash, check, or credit/debit (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover). If you have chosen the Hands-Free option, we will arrange pre-payment. If you have purchased a package, that can be pre-paid either at the end of the consultation or at the first work session.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for our working sessions?
For sessions to be truly productive, it’s essential to eliminate interruptions. Please make sure any children in the house have alternate supervision and phones are set to voicemail. Also, please make sure that any weapons/firearms that are stored in the project area are removed to another location prior to the session.

Many new clients ask how many hours or sessions will be needed. As the client, you are ultimately in control of the time a project takes! The main factors are your motivation level, your ability to manage interruptions, make timely decisions, and your follow-through on progress made between sessions.

Another key factor to keep in mind is momentum. For most projects, the closer the sessions, the more we can maintain momentum, and the greater the results.

I'm feeling pretty nervous about what you might see in my home.
Exposing parts of your home life that need help can be intimidating, particularly financial and healthcare documents. Establishing trust is essential to our success, and we keep all information private and confidential. We wouldn’t dream of  sharing any information with outside parties, unless we feel someone in the home is in danger.
How about photography? Will my room end up on your website?
Only if you give us permission. Please know that our confidentiality commitment includes photographs taken of the project area. Often, we use these photos for both planning our future sessions and to share ‘Before & After’ photos for our marketing use. If used as such, we will never expose identifying information and we will make sure to get your written approval for doing so.
How about supplies, like bins or totes? Should I buy some beforehand?
Hold off for now. What items we need are going to come near the end of the project and will be specific to your needs. If you prefer to do the shopping yourself, I can provide a shopping list of specific items when the time comes. If you’d rather not, I’d be happy to do the shopping for you, at a slightly reduced hourly rate.

Clutterninja’s core geography includes Gwinnett County, Fulton County, Forsyth County,  Hall County, and Cobb County, GA. This area includes Duluth, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Norcross, Chateau Elan, Hamilton Mill/Dacula, Braselton, Tucker, Cumming, Buford, Suwanee, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Atlanta, Dunwoody, Buckhead, Marietta, and Vinings.
