A question that I get asked fairly frequently is ‘There seem to be a million different products to help me manage my time and calendar – from sticking with a paper planner to Google Calendar to apps and everything in between. What do you recommend?’
My first answer is always this: Whatever works for you. If a high tech option works for you, then use it. If you like, and are successful with, an ‘old school’ paper planner, then use that. Most people would be surprised to know how many Professional Organizers use paper planners! Yours truly, included!
Also, once you’ve found what works for you, use that ONE. I’ve seen too many disasters happen to those who use multiple products to manage their calendars. Missing an appointment or double-booking yourself looks bad on you. If you’re a business owner, it looks doubly bad on your brand.
Choose what works for you. Choose ONE product. Stick with it.
